I plan on doing several blog posts about various experiences while there, but for now, here’s just a little peak of what’s to come:

Trip to Africa

I appologize that there are no pictures in this post. But please stick with me and read anyway :)

I am so happy to announce that I will be going to North Uganda June 1st through the 15th with an amazing organization based out of Owasso, OK called Project Hope Worldwide http://www.projecthopeworldwide.org

Project Hope’s mission is to redeem defenseless and vulnerable children and provide them hope and opportunity to change their world. Their strategy is to create holisitc villages for total orphans and provide them with a loving enviornment, education, medical services, recreational activities and spiritual enrichment. They’re in the middle of building their first village (called Calo Me Lare – “Village of Hope”) that currently houses over 40 total orphans in 5 houses, a school, a medical clinic, and a church. Windows from nearby villages come to live at Calo me Lare and serve as house moms to the orphans.
